Explain why is there no chemical equation to describe what happens when water evaporates?

There is no chemical equation to describe what happens when water evaporates because water changing its state/form is a physical change, not a chemical change. All that happens is that the water molecules separate from each other a little bit. A chemical equation requires something to react with another.
