x = 6/y

substitute value

y= 24/y-5

y²+5y-24=0

y²+8y-3y-24=0

y(y+8) -3(y+8) = 0

y=3 or y = -8

consider y = 3,

3 = 4x-5

x= 2!

now y = -8

-8= 4x-5

x= -3/4

The answer is 2 and 3 Or -8 and -3/4

2 is not 5 less 4 times other so the solution is -8 and -3/4
