(6,5)(-8,-23)
slope = (-23 - 5) / (-8 - 6) = -28/-14 = 2

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 2
use either of ur points (6,5)...x = 6 and y = 5
now sub and find b, the y int
5 = 2(6) + b
5 = 12 + b
5 - 12 = b
-7 = b

so ur equation is : y = 2x - 7 <==
