8x9 which is 72
1+ (4x9) 
4x9= 26
Y = 72-27 which is 35 AND +1
so Y= 35!

Solve x=9 for x:

Substitute 9 for x in y=4x−1:

y=4x−1

y=(4)(9)−1

y=35(Simplifed both sides of the equation)
