A cable is 40 decimeter a long. How long is the cable in meters.

1 m = 10 decimeters 
So , 1 decimeter = 1/10 meters 
So 40 decimeters = 1 X 40 / 10 meters = 40/10 meters = 4 meters..! 
The cable is 4 meters long.
