It takes 18 peaches to make 4 jars of peach preserves. How many peaches will be needed to make 14 jars?

Set up a proportion of peaches/ number of jars.
18/4=x peaches/14
Cross multiply;
4x=252
x=63 
So 63 peaches. Hope this helps.

it takes 63 peaches because 18/4 is 4.5 then, 4.5 times 14 equals 63.
